    Weighing just 16 ounces per pair and constructed of 7075-T6 aluminum, external-locking Komperdell Summit Contour Power Lock trekking poles strike an excellent balance between weight and durability. The poles feature soft, extended-length grips. Integrated straps help to save your wrists from undue stress. External locks are easy to adjust. Simply push open the locking tab, adjust the poles to your required length, and snap the tab back into place. The poles can be converted for winter use by replacing the summer trekking baskets (included) with one of the several styles of snow baskets (sold separately). The Tungsten/Carbide flex tips are designed to flex if the tip of the pole should get stuck, helping to protect the shafts from structural damage.
